Our trails are well-maintained bark or paved roadways but a few areas may be challenging due to stairs or steep terrain. Strollers with rugged wheels should be able to navigate the bark trails.

Our Guest Relations staff will provide maps and suggest routes through the garden that are accessible to walkers / wheelchairs and require the least amount of walking. There is a paved drive from the entrance down to the Visitor’s Center (about one-third of a mile each way). This road passes the Japanese Garden and Mid Pond area.

Sturdy wheelchairs are available for visitors to borrow at no charge. Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Service animals are welcome.
