Reservations

The primary purpose of the Reserve is to provide people with an opportunity to enjoy nature through quiet walks in the gardens and woodlands. Please come and allow about two hours for your visit. Reservations are required to tour the Reserve. Please call (206) 842-7631 or use our On-Line Request Reservation form to schedule your visit.

Please note that Bainbridge Island is reached by the Bainbridge Island Ferry from Seattle (click here for schedule information) or from the Olympic Peninsula via the Agate Pass Bridge (click here for directions). To access the Dial-A-Ride toll-free number by out-of-state callers, please call the Routed toll-free number and ask to be transferred to the Dial-A-Ride number. The Routed Service Number is 1-800-501-7433.

The Reserve, located at 7571 NE Dolphin Drive, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110, is open to the public Wednesdays through Sundays, except federal holidays, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with 2:00pm being the last available reservation time.

Admission fees are $12 per person, $8 for those 65 & over, $6 for children (5-12) and $4 to qualified college/university horticulture, botany class groups and youth clubs (boy scouts, girl scouts, etc.) Children under 5 are admitted free. Credit cards, personal and traveler’s checks are accepted. There is no food service available nor is picnicking permitted. For their own safety, please leave ALL PETS at home. Vehicles with pets inside will not be permitted to park within the Reserve.  Groups of 15 or more require a Tour Guide and reservations must be made a month in advance. Tour guides are available for other groups with prior arrangement. Accessibility accommodations provided upon request.  Weddings are not permitted at the Reserve.

The Guest House in the Japanese Garden at the Bloedel Reserve is available for meetings and retreats for non-profit groups. For information about renting the Guest House for your group, please contact Kate Gormley at kgormley@bloedelreserve.org or call 206-842-7631.


Membership Information

To become a member of the Reserve, send $55 (check, no credit cards) and name, daytime phone, and mailing address to The Bloedel Reserve, 7571 NE Dolphin Drive, Bainbridge Island, WA, 98110-1097. (Click here to download Membership application PDF.) Memberships will be recorded effective from date of receipt of money for one year. Members receive periodic Newsletters, 10% discount on the purchase of Bloedel Reserve publications and products (books, videos, note cards, etc.), free admission for one year for groups of up to four adults (member must be present in group), and invitations to special events (concerts, lectures, programs) usually not offered to the public.  If you would like to speak to someone about becoming a member call 206-842-7631.
